Layer 1: Toolbar Icon Indicator

The ClaudeKit icon in your Chrome toolbar changes color when your session resets. A green checkmark appears on the icon for 30 minutes after reset - visible any time Chrome is open, whether or not you have Claude.ai as your active tab.

No permission required. Works as long as Chrome is open. If you step away from your computer and return, the icon state tells you immediately whether your session cleared in the last 30 minutes.

Layer 2: Tab Title Update

When you have Claude.ai open in a browser tab and your session resets, the tab title updates to 🟢 Reset · Claude for 10 minutes. This is visible across your entire tab bar - even when Claude.ai is in a background tab.

• Cross-device sync - reset state remains local and is not synced across devices
• Chrome closed - if Chrome itself isn't running, no signals fire

In practice: if you're at your desk, all four layers ensure you'll catch the reset. If you step away briefly, the toolbar icon will be green when you return. If you're truly away from your computer, you'll see the in-page toast the next time you open Claude.ai.

Real cross-device alerts - push notifications to your phone, email alerts - would require ClaudeKit to collect your email or have an account. How to Set Up Claude Session Reset Notifications

There is no setup. Three of the four layers activate automatically when you install ClaudeKit. The fourth takes one click:
