Optional anonymous telemetry

Understand the opt-in, daily-batched CLI telemetry model and the controls available to you.

Telemetry is disabled by default. ClaudeKit sends no product telemetry until you explicitly enable it.

Controls

ck telemetry status
ck telemetry enable
ck telemetry sync
ck telemetry disable

Once enabled, ClaudeKit records an anonymous installation and sends daily-batched aggregate usage after a 24-hour boundary. ck telemetry sync can send the current aggregate immediately. Disabling telemetry discards unsent local aggregates.

What is collected

  • Anonymous installation ID and CLI version.
  • Coarse operating-system and architecture details, Node major version, locale, and timezone.
  • Daily aggregate session count, agent-provider counts, active duration, project count, and aggregate ClaudeKit feature usage.

What is never collected

  • Source code, prompts, repository paths, file names, command arguments, or handoff text.
  • Raw IP addresses, email addresses, account details, or agent credentials.
  • Location inferred from machine locale. Country remains blank because locale is not reliable location data.
